Are you considering buying a property for short-term rental use?

This spreadsheet can help you assess a property and determine whether the property will be profitable.

I annotated the spreadsheet with comments explaining both the entry fields and how I derived the formulas in the calculated fields. I locked the calculated fields and protected the sheet so you do not inadvertently change the formulas. To unlock the fields, right-click the spreadsheet tab and click on "unprotect." I did not password-protect the spreadsheet. Feel free to change any part of the spreadsheet.

Caveat: verify all calculations with a real estate professional before making your short-term rental purchase.
